So did the later 80's regular (non-5th Ave) New Yorkers. My '87 has this.
They used the exact same ones as the 5th Ave's.  The earlier 80's New
Yorkers had the opera light mounted on the landau roof behind the rear
doors and I believe those were regular light bulbs. I think they switched
to the electroluminescent style around 1985. The 5th Ave.'s had them as far
back as '83 I think. I'm not sure if these survived to see life when the
NY/5th Ave platform moved to the AC-body, but I don't think so.
