Absolutely not. It is always positive to positive, negative to negative. Does not matter how the battery is connected to the car(positive or negative earth). If you try pos to neg you will probably blow up the batteries and that is a serious explosion. I know I have blown batteries before but only because they were gassing badly and I provided a spark. Big boom and acid everywhere.

Imperialists,

In a positive ground six volt system, when jumping the car from a modern
12 volt system, does one reverse the polarity, i.e., pos  to neg and neg to
pos., in order to jump start?
