Re: IML: engine paint

1959, '60, & '61 Imperials have black engine with gold air cleaner. The blue green color engine with black air cleaner began in 1962.

Green blue motors , seem to be early 60's up to early 70's My 60 Plymouth SonoRamic Commando 361 was gold . Golden Lion big blocks, were gold .Imps. could have been different. But I never saw, an engine painted body color. Air cleaners on my Ply. were also gold. This my not mean much, but it's fun remembering the good old days.Dave.

Is this the same color for a pink '59 with a 413?  I somehow can't believe that a green engine would go into a pink car.  Would the valve covers and air cleaner also be the same color as the engine?
