Re: IML: Mopar transmission Oil vs.Dexron III ?

THanks for the advice. When I bring my car in for Inspection they say they topped off my fluids- Not good unless they're using the same oil/fluid

It is not a good idea to mix any transmission fluid.  Dexron III will not hurt your trans, I use it in my 64 Plymouth automatic.  If you decide to use D III, you should completely drain your trans and torque converter, then re fill.

Dexron III vs. Mopar transmission fluid ? Will Dexron not work as well and will it decrease the live expectancy of the tranny? Also, can I mixed them? I'm referring to topping it off with Dexron III. I'm under the impression that Dextron III has the same specs of Mopar transmission fluid.
