Re: IML: Please Welcome Matthew Gill

Dear Matt:

Do not rule out driving a car 2000 miles home. It can be a lot of fun.
Just be sure to take a tool box.

A few years ago I drove a 1971 Challenger R/T home from Calgary Canada
(to northcentral Illinois). At one point on the trip I had the dashboard
catch fire. At another point the clutch on the radiator fan froze. I had
an absolutely wonderful time. The problems only made the trip more
memorable.

This spring my oldest daughter and I drove a 63 Imperial convertible home
from New Jersey. The trip went smoothly and I got to spend some quality
time with my daughter. We both learned some things about each other and
since then we get along much better.

My recommendation is take a trip with your dad. And make sure you get him
to pay for the gas.

Ray
