Welcome Nathan  The 90 IMPs a good cars they do have there issues. as for you problems Brakes if they just need pads thats pretty EZ if it other things let up know We can try to help, The trany is one of the cars not so great things. The A604 need to have the correct fluid in it and it must be change regularly. A good tranny shop can give the car a good flushing and like has been said if you unhook the battery after the fluid flush the computer may re-learn and work ok. As for the load leveling if it the pump i have seen new ones on E-bay for about a 150.00.
