Chances are the points and condensor are correct. They were the same for years and years. Make sure that you gap the points between .015 and .018.
The wire problem is common. I usually make my own wires, since the sets these days seem to be for some other car and are at best "close" to what we need. I have found the best practice to be to lay all the new wires out in order of size, and then replace the old ones (one at a time, of course) installing the longest one first and so on. Amazingly, that seems to end up with everything fitting, although I think that I remember that one wire is stretched to the max to do its job.
Be sure that the wires do not come in contact with the exhaust manifolds.

I've had a couple glitches with NAPA's part numbers recently and could use some
input from you all.
NAPA says the part number for spark plug wires is MPW2802. I tried that set and
the wires for the left side plugs are waaaay too short.
Additionally I need to get new points and a condenser. I have the cap and rotor
and hopefully they are right - haven't installed them yet.
Anyone have numbers handy that match the 1960 413?
Thanks,
Donn Reese
