Not to start another 413-440 debate, but if I had a choice, I'd replace a 440 with a 413 any day. They just seem to run better & not as prone to overheating & hard starting when hot. Just my .02

I wasn't going to say anything, but I agree with Kenyon on this.
A 1965 Imperial was a great car and the engine it came with worked
just fine. I can see no real advantage to installing the 440 over the 413.


   It's true, the difference is only 10hp and 10 lb-ft.
Now, if you were going to go more custom with the car and wanted to supe up the engine, there are a lot of 440 hi-performance parts out there, and it's probably be easier and cheaper to do that with a 440 instead of a 413.
