Before the Imp. cops shout "NIP IT IN THE BUD" (had to quote Don Knotts, one of my all time favorite actors) regarding this thread (lack of Imperial content- trust me, it's gonna happen-LOL), I want to share a link to an amazing story. A buddy of mine (from another old car list) found himself in a winless situation one day. His heavy Buick Wildcat saved his life.

I do believe Mark McDonald when he said, for the most part, (some) new cars are better at saving your life than old(er) cars. Technology has come a long way in protecting the occupants from rear end, side and head-on crashes. The electronics in cars of today monitor so much, it's amazing! Of course, the car is usually toast but at least that can be replaced...
