Re: IML:1961 Chrysler I was wondering ?

I have a very nice 1961 Chrysler imperial South Hampton
Two door with original wire wheels all power new interior and only 40,000 original miles the color salmon . I want everyone here to see it. How do i do that . Also I would like to know what it is worth. Ive got about 30,000 into it and been working on it for 15 years. I have never shown it but i drive it all the time at least once a week and i have never in all my years looking ever seen any other Chrysler that looks as good as this one does.  I would like to hear other Chrysler peoples opinion OK  Thanks

This 59 Imperial was knock-out, drop dead gorgeous.  Flawless to my eye.  We looked at it several times.  The $130,000 price is very high, yes, but this beauty deserved that price, in my opinion.  The car just stood out.  There was nothing else like it there, except perhaps for the 1960 Polara cvt.  There were so many cars that all kind of looked the same but not the DeSotos and the Imperial.  The place was crawling with Challengers and Cudas.  Counted over  of them inside the Big tent next to the auction arena on Sunday when we were walking through the sold cars area.  Seemed to be way too many for them all to have attained stratospheric prices, but then I didn't follow the prices.  Can't stand the noise of the screaming auctioneer.

My two cents, Henry HOpkins

Just an FYI. A '59 Imperial is coming up on Speed Channel coverage of the Barrett-Jackson auction.
