Re: IML:Wheel Covers ( aka hubcaps on chebby's )

Hola

I had a 63 Le Baron that I too used the 62 Imperial wheel covers on.  I did this since others had no idea of what the car was, so I helped them.

My wife and I went to Reno for the ... http://www.hotaugustnights.net/ ... one year and during the trip there lost one wheel cover on I-80 in the middle of no-where Nevada.  At the event in Reno, we found a stack of just the correct year wheel covers.  Just one was $20.

I now have an 62 year car and this means that I already have some extra wheel covers.

Speaking of etra items, I have a 1963 FSM that I would like to trade for an 1962 year FSM.

There was only one hubcap used for the 63 imperial, all models.  It is brushed chrome without lettering, there is a cone shape in the middle topped with a red dot.  I personally like the 62 caps better so my 63 sports the 62 caps and I keep the great looking 63 caps I have tucked away.  Finding either cap is not that difficult.  They come up often on e-bay. The 62 are bright chrome with IMPERIAL printed in the chrome.

What range of years hubcaps--if any--are common for my 63 custom?  Were there subtle differences year to year?  Right now I have chevy truck covers on and anything mopar would be better.  The only thing on classified for sale is a 64 but that was a month ago and I need to know first if they will even fit.  Thank you.
