Re: IML: 1960 Imperial CROWN sedan

Hi Dietmar -
No, I definately was not talking about that one.
There was another dark colored one that was listed as a LeBaron, the ad for which I can't find at the moment, and that's the one that brought back bad memories. If E-bay # 150098034238 were to appear under my Christmas Tree, I'd be delighted beyond words!
Sorry about the confusion.

If You mean Ebay # 150098034238 I cant agree Your statements, the iterior
are real shots unveiling some dents, but the car is very well maintained for
a 1960 ... even the NYLON looks great after all the years ..
Only the engine compartment is not promising at all -- Mine looks better than new meanwhile ..
But it is a good base for further restaurations because the body and the
interior ar the expensive parts ....
And the rair air is a very rare detail ...
What shall be wrong on the drivers side front door panel ?

Hi Dietmar,
At first glance, a cosmetically arrestingly 1960 Crown, not a LeBaron.
However, the driver's side front door panel is wrong and it appears that the

passenger's front wheel has issues ( in some picts the camber looks way off)

It is an impressive looking car but the sole interior shot is from the 1960
Imperial broucher.
I wish my '60 looked so good, but I would have reservations about this one.
I once bought a beautiful looking 66 Cadillac Eldorado convertible from MN.
I wound up taking what parts I could off of it and sending the rest to a
salvage yard as you could poke a screwdriver through portions of the frame
and good body panels had been welded over the cancerous ones.
For some reason, this just doesn't look right. I'd try to get a independent

evaluation of this one.
