IML: Insurance Agents

I used Hagerty, on my 77 Dodge van, they were very helpful, and Quick to start the policy, (less than 2wks)However there are restrictions, most Classic Car Policies only cover the vehicle, on a limited mileage basis, the every day driver will be a problem. Since we have 4 other drivers, thats not a big problem, some can, and do REQUIRE the vehicle be stored in a garage. My standard Allstate policy, wanted over $800 , for that truck, with only market replacement ($500) The Classic car insurers KNOW we are more careful drivers, and take better care of our vehicles, thats why you get good rates, BUT the restrictions are there. My 81 Imp. isn't done yet, but I'm sure I'll talk to Hagerty again. Ya'll have a nice day, Dave

I chose CWG Insurance and it was about a 3 week turn around.  They sent me a letter that said it could take up to a month.  I assumed that this was normal because of having to do manual underwriting for each individual car instead of plugging into a standard computer formula for regular use vehicles.

Subject: IML: JC Taylor insurance

A while back everyone was talking about best prices on insurance for our Imperials. JC Taylor came up the most, so I got an online quote, and printed the neccesary paperwork to send in. I sent it in with the check and pictures of the car, as they requested. It's been two weeks and the check I sent to them has not cleared and I have heard nothing from them. My question is, Does anyone else who has their insurance, found them to be slow, or am I the only one?
