Subject: IML: Webmonster Status
Hello List Members,
I am pleased to announce my retirement from the Imperialclub.com
Webmonster roster. I say "pleased" as it actually signifies my successful
recovery from a painful ailment. Over the past handful of years, I've
endured an ailment, without being too graphic, involving a piece of
cracked peppercorn stuck in a place in my sinus, with some festering,
swelling and a lot of owww. I credit the delicious Fred Meyer Red Potato
Salad with large pieces of cracked peppercorn for this eventually
excruciating event, mind you with no implication of maliciousness on
Freddy's behalf. I picture myself coughing or sneezing possibly while
enjoying this product and producing this long term end result. Well, maybe
that was a little too graphic. Sorry...
This event kept me off my feet and I became a permanent fixture of my
chair/computer. This allowed me to volunteer my time to the Webmonster
team in the departments of answering the incoming emails to the Webmonster
team, assisting with the maintenance of the mailing list joins and losses,
and hosting the #IML chat room on IRC.
I'm getting back on my feet so to speak and I'm finding my available
computer time has dwindled so I have decided to end my Webmonster
affiliation.
As well, I have recently moved to a new home in Lebanon, Oregon, so now
I'm focused on it as well as Imperial maintenance. Infact, I just levelled
the front of my '64 Crown Coupe to it's proper 2" +/- 1/8 +/- 1/8
side/side spec from a previous owner's 2" drop and it once again has that
high and mighty mmmmph! to it with it's proper height. It looks so good it
is inspiring me to get my new PS pump, A/C compressor, and timing set
zipped on with the next nice warm weekend. It's great to be able to go out
and affect some change once again, it's been a long while.
.
A note about the IRC #IML chatroom listed on the website. This specific
IML room moniker was recently absorbed by another group who use the same
initials. If you should try to log into that room, you will likely be
bounced out by their group. I've asked to have the IRC information be
removed from our website, it should be updated soon..
A hearty thank you to those who have stopped by in IRC to have a friendly
chat, I've enjoyed it much.
If anyone wants to restart this feature, contact your nearest Webmonster
agent.
Assisting the website and IML group over the years has been a wonderful,
rewarding experience and I recommend anyone with the ability and interest
to step up and find a position on the Webmonster team.
I'll see you all on the mailing list. Now back to my wrenches, finally!!!
