Re: IML: 64-66 with A/C

My '66 Crown with single A/C has the sub-cooler. Also the FSM makes no mention of the sub-cooler being exclusive to dual A/C equipped vehicles.

Subject: 64-66 with A/C

I have a question for members owning 64-66 Imperials with A/C. Do cars with single (front) a/c have the so-called "subcooler" mounted ahead of the a/c condenser? This part looks like a condenser and seems to be used along with the regular condenser; the brackets on it indicate that it mounts ahead of the regular condenser. The question is whether the thing is used on all a/c
equipped cars or only dual a/c cars.

Pop your hoods and take a look!
