Hi Patrick....thanks for your reply!...actually I just changed out both the NEGATIVE & POSITIVE cables a few weeks back so thats probably not the main gremlin...though I'll give it a look today!

This may sound dumb, but I've had mysterious, roving symptoms like that in 
Mopars because of ... dirty battery contacts!  Clean them if they're cruddy. 
You might be surprised.
