IML: front suspension

I'm shortly going to be rebuilding the front suspension on my 1962 Le Baron. I have a spare set of spindles and control arms from a 1959 Imperial and had hoped to fit the new ball joints and bushings to these arms and then swap them on to the '62 so the car is immobile for the least possible time. However, I note from the parts books that the '59 appears to be a one year only design for the lower balljoint. Can anyone tell me what the difference is and if they are actually interchangeable?

thanks
