For those of you in or around Albuquerque, New Mexico, there will be an all Mopar show. A couple Imperials there last year. It is in Belen, New Mexico. It will be at the Mopar dealer in town. June 16th, a Saturday. I can post the web site for you all if anyone is interested. I will there with my 28 foot enclosed trailer of parts. No sheet metal as this area has no rust. Just the rubber and plastic desolves because of the heat, kinda like here in Palm Desert, Calif. 
   I am starting to accumulate a load of sheet metal for the Carlisle show, July 5th thru the 8th. I have some Imperial, 59, 61 thru 63. I will have a complete, rust free, zero rust, 59 New Yorker, front fenders, hood, trunk lid, grill and both bumpers. I will have other Mopar stuff also. Joe Machado

That's about the average demographic for typical shows in Texas and parts of Florida also. A lot of the new plague to car shows are street rods and non-descript foreign tuners with loud radios.
If you want to see anything decent any more you have to limit yourself to concours d'elegance events, spceific marque events (Pierce Arow, Packard, Cadilac La Salle, etc) and AACA meets.

I went to a car show in Sandpoint ID yesterday, Lost in the 50's.

This is a pretty big show with 200-300 cars. They shut down the entire town for it. I was shocked and dissapointed to see only four Mopars. There were 2 67 GTXs, a nice 67 Charger and what was probably the nicest car there an immaculate 300H Convertible. It was spectacular. Maybe one day I will be in a position to take my 69 Coupe there.

I did not really expect to see an Imperial although there are a few floating around here. I was shoched that there was not a single Road Runner, 'Cuda etc. The usual Mustang, Camaro, Chevelle crowd was also significantly under represented. There were more than the usual number of 60 Impalas and many other larger cars.

This is my first car show of the year. Has anyone else noticed a change in car show "car demographics" or is this just a one off?
