I believe the cross referenced
number originates as a cartridge/filter number of 1405639 through this link, but
only references the years '52-'54 as applicable, though I am certain the
filter/cartridge was used in '55 and '56 in the P/S reservoirs, but I
cannot verify any other number for the filter beside the referenced number
through our link:
Maybe one of the more fluent users of the manual[s] can verify the above
as having been a 'good' number for '55-'56 without Imperial designers
having 'changed' the part number...I own the FSM's for '55 and '56, as well
as Hollander's and Chilton's both also indicate same. Have
