Hi Ken:
Any idea of a part number or should I just ask for power steering filters and find one that is about the correct size with the correct size hose fittings.
A PS filter seems to be a good addition to any car. I might add a PS cooler while I am at it. I am sure that the extra fluid capacity would not hurt also.

I have an in-line filter on the low pressure side coming back into the p/s pump.  It was recommended when I had the steering gearbox rebuilt.  It?s there mostly to catch any debris from the rebuild before it can clog anything in the pump.  It?s about half the size of a soda can and, with a little extra hose, I tucked it neatly under the battery tray where it can?t be seen.

I?m not familiar with the pump on the 55 & 56 model but the filter I saw on the Napa web site definitely won?t fit on my 67 or 68, so I?m assuming it won?t fit the 69 either. (I could be wrong though, it has happened before J)

Is it worth adding one of these to a 69?
What is the bennefit or risks?
