RE: IML: 413 to 440 swap?

What year 413?  The earlier ones have a difference in the crankshaft. If it is a 63 or 64 or 65 it should be a bolt in swap. Double check with your mechanic, I may be wrong.

Subject: IML: 413 to 440 swap?

Hey gang, a couple of days ago, someone here posted an ebay listing of a 413 engine: my '66 Crown Coupe had been down for a over a year. The 440 needs a complete rebuild and I want to do it, but I just got married and my work has been a bit spotty lately. Would I be able to drop this 413 to replace the 440 until I can affored to rebuild the 440 right? What about motor mounts and the bolt up to the transmission?

If I am able to do the swap cleanly, then I will be spending less than half the cost of a rebuild. Thanks for all of your inputs. This list rocks!!

(and boy has it GROWN in the last 5 years!)
