Re: IML: Hub Puller

NOW I understand.
Here is what my mechanic tells me: they have the right hub puller and the correct BF guy to slam the thing wide open but now they feel they are at a point where there will be damage to the whole thing ( shaft?) . So what then can be done? I wonder if there is a change that can be made to front disc brakes and never mind the rear drum brakes forever.

lAlso the bureaucrats here are blocking my car until I change the wheels.
I have mags that are too wide and the tire touches a bit inside when turning.

I do not have 15 inch wheels. Do you know if 59-63 Imp wheels fit on 59s? It will be easier to find if that selection is open to me rather than oly 59 wheels.

BF mechanic swinging a BF hammer on a BF hub puller. Did it today, not a fun job. Eventually the key falls out and the hub comes off easily. Good luck.

Hi
My mechanic just can t take off the rear wheels to check out the brakes. Is there a twist , a trick or what? How do you take off those IMP 59 wheels ?

I have the type puller pictured. I have used it on both of my 64' Imperials as well as several other Mopars with no problem. I even use it at a wrecking yard to pull two rear drums off a junked Imperial that looked like it ahd been under water.. I have used a sledge hammer on it with no ill effects to the
puller.
