IML: Flight-Sweep Deck Lid for '62 & Hole Plugs

To those who responded:

Thanks a lot for your answers. I had suspected a '59 Flight Sweep Deck Lid would not work. The tail end of the '59 unit appears to taper to a more narrow width. I remember that '57-'59 models had a gas cap lid to one side of the trunk lid and that is probably why those units had a more narrow trunk lid.

I did find some plastic body hole plugs at http://www.rtspecialties.net/ that I can use to put my '62 back in original equipment shape.

I found the comments about attaching trim using double sticky foam tape for body work very interesting. The trunk lid trim strip on my '62 has at least two of the die-cast pins broken off and consequently there is no way to fasten it with the original clips. This leaves some open holes in the trunk lid sheet metal for rain to enter. Fortunately I am able to keep the car stored inside. The trim strip for the trunk is otherwise in good condition, so being able to put it back on and have it seal well will be great.
