Re: IML: Lean burn and exhaust help...

IF you're really intent on keeping the Lean Burn system, before you op for a new control unit, check the EGR valve and the vacuum operated heat cross over valve in the left exhaust manifold. You should remove the EGR valve to check for carbon deposits that can hold the valve open.If the poor idle conditions are a lean condition, then feather the choke blade shut very slowly, if the idle improves then you're lean. Thats a carb, EGR, or a possible vacuum leak.It could also be low speed ignition issues with the lean burn.As far as exhaust, any good custom exhaust shop should be able to "Build" what you want. Ya'll have a nice day, Dave.
