RE: IML: Texas Meet. September? Austin?

LOL!  On the singing!!  My Imperials aren’t yet roadworthy, so here’s an idea:  You bring the Imperial and I’ll bring the Excursion and the tools and follow you.    J

I could bring the trailer along as a safety net if that would make you feel any better.  Though everyone else might make fun of us both.

LOL!

Hi, Brooks,

Doug Norton here - also Dallas.  I told Hugh that I would like to meet, but that I might not bring my 1964 Imperial Crown Coupe since I have never had it on that long a trip.  Happy birthday in advance, and I would be happy to "sing" though you may need earplugs.

Austin's fine by me. I'm booked for the 22nd already, but the 29th is my
birthday so if we pick then, maybe I will bring a cake and you can all sing
happy birthday to me!

Hey folks,

It's make our minds up time. I'd like to have an Imperialist meet sooner
rather than later. My October is already pretty much booked, and November
is looking a little nuts, too. So I am proposing a Saturday in September,
maybe the 15th, the 22nd or the 29th. I suggest we meet somewhere for
lunch, to allow folks more time to drive there - and where is there - but be

able to avoid an overnight stay. Hopefully after lunch we can visit some
automobile related place, maybe even a good junk yard with older Mopar stuff

there.

The question is also where. Austin seemed like a popular place, just about
as easy to get to for everybody, including me, coming from San Antonio. I
don't know the place too well, so I welcome someone who does to suggest a
place to meet and a place to go in the afternoon.

The point is get us Texan folks together, to put faces to names and,
hopefully, see some nice Imperials, though I am unable to bring mine, so, if

you can't either, come on down anyway, so I don't feel left out.

E-mail your suggestions to me off list at: imperial58@xxxxxxxxxxx

Looking forward to meeting y'all.

Hugh
