IML: 11.00 x 14 ?

Hi all,
Just a question about the '59 Imperial and their tires. I know that there was an option about tires: the 9.50 x 14 could be replaced with the 11.00 x 14 SuperSoft Cushion tire . Does someone know if these tires has really be available ? Seems to me that a so large tire can't be installed in the rear wheel well ... When i tried to remove or install a 9.50 x 14 it was a pain and i had to jack very high the car, so with 1.50 " more in width ...
