RE: IML: what's YOUR car's name?

Well we each have rules for our driving.

Here in Anchorage we are in the final month of warm temps - snow will begin by the middle of October and then it's off the streets until Spring to avoid the road salt. So I'm driving as much as I can now.

Besides my '60 will never be a Carlisle or museum contender and it sits outside all year anyway. So whether it gets rained on while sitting in the driveway or on the way to work and back is of little consequence.

If I had a convertible I'd probably treat it differently.

Aaargghhhhh, driving a 60 Imperial in the RAIN.....
this really breaks my heart :)

There should be a law that forbid to drive one of those beauties in the
rain.
But on the other hand....who can fight the temptation to drive it as much as
possible, even when the weather is bad...?

I've not given much thought to naming my cars over the years. As someone
else here mentioned it all depends on how it's behaving at the moment.

Some days it's "you cranky b#*@!" or on days when it's really fighting me
trying to repair it, things can get much bluer. However there are other
days like when I installed the new carb and tuned it up for the first time
in probably twenty years and it finally had full power with no
hesitation....that day it was "my sweet baboo" - with apologies to Charles
Schulz.

I suppose this morning it could be called Noah's Ark since I drove to work
in the rain.
