Re: IML: Declared Value insurance - //2

Dave,

I would be looking at other options as that seems to be on the very high side......I am not promoting JC Taylor, but only because I deal with them-though I have heard good things about the other specialty carriers mentioned by other group member's- anyway, what I was told to do was figure what it would be to legitimately fix a total of ANY kind at its worst cost, take pictures for proof of existing condition, and IF I ever come close to the mileage restriction [NOT discussed with agent so I do not even know if I have one], I would disconnect the speedo, but I've never had the time to come close to the mileage issue ........

I also have Hagerty on my 77 Dodge 440 van, insured for 8k, however there are restrictions on use. About 1500 miles per year, mostly garage kept, no business use, no daily commute to work, for about $300 per year. Do others have the same restrictions? And how do some use their Imperials as "Daily Drivers"? Just wondering, Dave.
