Bill, I'd look hard at the ASD module, I had a no start issue with my 81, it was the ASD. All electrical power for the EFI system key on,  run or start, has to be "approved" by the ASD, before the engine will start. Bought mine from the dealer, but that was years ago.It also will not run with a loose or removed air cleaner. There are many test procedures to follow, before replacement. Dave.
