Re: IML: Basking In Their Ignorance

I have a new neighbor across the street from me. We were talking on her driveway just after she had moved in and she saw the front of my 69 LeBaron in my garage.
She was very interested so we came over to take a look.
She seemed to know what she was talking about until she mentioned Chevorlet at which point I said " I think you mean Impala, not Imperial". She agreed.
Still it is nice to have a neighbor who has an interest in old cars.

Last night my "step-son" followed me back to Tucson with his
newly acquired 1991(Mark Cross) Imperial and we stopped in
Florence, AZ for a break. The lady at the counter knew what an
Imperial was as she had one in high school, but could not recall
what year it was, probably a 65 as she graduated in 1970. She
came out to see our Imperials parked beside each other - 1993 and
1991(Mark Cross) and was pleasantly impressed.
I know that this can be a VERY rewarding, but also be a funny and
vexing thread, but shouldn't we just be appreciative that there
are people out there who recognize our IMPERIALS for the
CHEVROLETS they are!!!
