hi club, On YouTUbe.com recently I watched an interesting Chrysler Jefferson factory promo piece about 7 minutes long featuring the 1962 Imperial LeBaron and Crown -it talked about women "admiring and desiring" the car but the man to be the one "acquiring". No wonder women's lib took off ! But the footage of the car, and the fact that in this case the salesperson was a woman - she is depicted sealing the deal by deliverfing the keys after the man put his John Henry on the dotted line in the contract - was somewhat surprising, given the underlying commentary. Reminded me of an old furnace promo piece that I read : "mother will adore the dustfree characteristics of the Philco furnace".... Sounded like Leave it to Beaver or Henry Aldrich era stuff !
