Re: IML: Rare

Well, I have a 'rare' 1980 NYer 5th Ave,,,only 386 made in as nice condition as my 60 Imperial.  The Imp is worth much more than the NYer.   Rare is only a winner when you're talkuing about steaks.

Subject: IML: Rare

List,

Quite often we hear, or read, the word "Rare", used in the description of automobiles.  My question, does being rare really add to the value of vehicles, or is it just wishful thinking on the part of the owner or of the
seller?  We know that all Imperials are rare, in fact, they were rare when they were manufactured, but this does not seem to have much of an effect on current numbers sold or asking prices.
