Re: IML: Electric Window Repair

Jimmy Wilfong,
Those switches can be repaired one at a time. I have fixed all the switches on my '64. They come apart very easily.

Hello,
My 61 Lebaron has 2 of the pins broken off the back of the drivers door window switch. The brown bakelite looking material that holds the pins is broken too. My car has electric vent windows so there are 6 switches in the unit. Do I have to replace the whole unit or does that thing open up to allow you to service it? Where could I get the parts?
Thanks, Jimmy Wilfong

hi  guys,

There must be some expert here that knows what years inter change, I would also need one for a pattern! We could make them from a high strength polycarbonate. I am sure there are lots of small parts in high demand for these cars . I just need to know which ones and have patterns.  I am fairly new to the imperial hobby but we have been making parts for other cars for a long time.. i think my 61 has all metal gears.

All the input you can give is appreciated

Thanks

If 63 and 64 Imperials use the same gear, I do not know, then count me in for 8.
