Re: IML: shocks to level 67 Imperial Convertible

Well Chris,

I too have a sagging car problem at the rear :)
I solved it with a pair of Monroe Air Shocks (mind you that I have a couple of very havy LPG tanks in the trunk of the car). Those Monroe Air Shocks can be "pumped up" just like a tire (same type of valve) to compensate a sagging rear end. I am very happy with them, the car is level now (and I even can raise the rear higher if I want, to compensate for heavy loads) and the ride is still smooth.

Can anyone who's had first hand experience with rear shocks and heavy Imperials guide me to what to get. One of my rears is leaking so it's time for shocks and I was wondering if there's a particular one you who recommend that would also lift my sagging car a bit at the rear. I remember long ago seeing those heavy duty ones with the additional coil spring around the body of the shock?

Any thoughts?

Thx,
Chris
