If you plan to pull the engine & tranny together, you may want to remove the heater box from the firewall if you hadn't already thought of it. We didn't & hit it with the end of the tranny & scratched it quite a bit. You may also want to use one of those fancy levelers on the hoist. That made a big difference.

Thanks for the help on the engine questions guys. Just thought I would let everyone know the car is up on stands and I should be able to start undoing the cables and lines ect...to the tranny this weekend. Lowell has pulled the engine from a 1960 he has in Patterson Ca. I will be going up Friday to pick it up. If any of you have any tips on pulling the engine and tranny please send them to me. Never hurts to have old Indian tricks (no offence to anyone) in these matters. I other wise will be just following the manual instructions.
