RE: IML: Our Tour to British Columbia/Alberta

I'm about to post some of the pictures I took on a web page I use, I'll send
you a link when I get them posted.

I am so proud of the car (and the wife, for that matter!). It is by far the
quietest, most comfortable long distance high speed tour car I own (and I
own quite few old luxury cars), and it never gave me a bit of trouble (other
than the dried out wiper blades - we never use them here in the desert!). I
had to stop and pick up some fresh blades in Montana, when I turned on the
wipers for the first time in many years. It averaged almost 23 MPG, and
used no other fluids.

What a great looking car! And wife! I would love to get some of your
landscape pictures and other 'large' pictures to use as wallpaper. I have
them set to change and it lets me travel from my desk.

In case anyone would like to see a few of the hundreds of pictures (thank
goodness for digital cameras) we snapped during our recent vacation trip,
here are a few links to click on:

Why we went:

(on the road to the glaciers, as far north as you can drive from Banff).

What our 81 Imperial looked like before we left:

and on the way:

and when we got there:

Some of the folks we toured with part of the way:

Yes, the weather was somewhat "spotty" at times, and cold as the proverbial
well digger's posterior, the rest of the time.

And, in case you think USA traffic can get congested:

Actually, this is on the ferry from British Columbia mainland over to
Vancouver Island, and the exasperated looking lady is someone who has put up
with my fascination with old junkers for 54 years now!

Of course I have many, many more pictures - if any of you have a particular
interest, please e-mail me, I'll be happy to show them.
