I agree with all your inputs on the tranny fluid changes and each one is
valuable for different trannys at diferent times in the repair life.  let me
add mine to the list.  i bought an iron bushing and plug that fit in it and
had it brazened on the lower back side of the trans pan.  then i drilled
thru the pan and filed it clean and now i have a drain plug for when i just
want to change most of the fluid and not the filter.  a lot less messy and
puts off the filter change for a while.  remember i recomend all the
previous ideas at different times for different reasons.   imperially yours,
