IML: piles of piles (and lots of Imperials for parts?)

I tripped over this seller while loking at parts - he appears to have several Imperials cannibalized or getting there, here's one of the more complete. ebay item 4515176119

does anyone know the story on these? it appears this person is liquidating a LOT of older cars, possible somebody's "collection" left out in the weather. So sad.
