Re: [FWDLK] headliner strips again



Those headliner strips are the toughest pieces to find (except for the
cardboard headliner, sporttone inserts, steering wheel, etc. etc.). I know
there is a way to weld plastic.  Eastwood sells a kit that uses a heat gun
and a filler substance.  I think it's kinda expensive, though.  Would
probably work if you had to make shorter pieces fit.  After you've
completed that task, there are guys that advertise in Hemmings that will
chrome plate plastic.  Has anyone had any luck with this ?  I know my
Oldsmobile has a few pieces that need this treatment. What kind of money do
they get for their services ?
