That phenomenon is easy to explain; unless one counts
the superstructure of the '64-'66 Imperial, '65
B-bodies and post-'64 Valiants/Darts, there was no
further Exner influence after the '65 model year.

'66 and newer B-bodies and '67 and newer A-bodies &
Imperials make this point most strongly when compared
with what came immediately before.
