Thanks once again to all that responded. The collective knowledge of this
group is truly amayzing.
It seems that according to the literature the 2 speed was all that was
availble in the Dodge, BUT mother MOPAR did install a few later in the model
year, primarily in D-500's.  A handful are known to exist.

Does anyone know if the 3 speed automatic was available in the 56 Dodge? I
was always under the impression that to 2 speed powerflite was the only
available automatic in 1956.
