Gee guys,
You're all sounding like a bunch of old codgers! Grooooooaaaan, creak & moan!
I'm in the same age bracket too but I still get a kick out of haulin' out in one
of my fin machines and even spending an afternoon detailing it for a show - or a
drive.
So a few months turns into a few years, so what? The patina of age can only
improve what we know is good fun! I think I spent 12 or 13 years just rounding
up parts for my 57 Dodges before starting restorations - that was fun! The
treasure hunt we all have enjoyed and still enjoy!
I know, I know, we aren't as agile as we were in our 20s but hey, it just takes
a bit longer to crawl back out from under a car and then warm up a pair of
chilled hands. So your bifocals need to be a bit stronger and you need another
flannel shirt on under the jacket - but how many 20 somethings have a FWDLK set
of wheels they can tool around in? Corrollas & Hondas??? Neons??? Geos???
Look how lucky we are!
It' s just the price we have to pay!
Let's face it - we all are suffering from a sickness (which our wives will be
glad to detail for us if asked) and the only medication we need is getting in
our FWDLK car, firing up the hemi (or similar mill) and pushing the 1 - 2 - D
buttons and heading down the open road!
