I don't have a pic, but in '55-57 Chrysler 300s with dual quad carbs and '56-57 Adventurers, the glass bowl filters are attached to the fuel inlet of the carb directly with a brass fitting, then the steel line coming up from the fuel pump is attached to another brass fitting at the inlet of the filter.
 
If you search down the "for sale" page of the FL web site, you will find I sell new Carter ceramic filter elements with new gasket.  $12.50 ea. includes shipping to you.   These are identical to the original element.

Does anyone have a picture they could email me showing the layout of the filter, glass bowl type, in the engine compartment?  The fuel setup on my desoto is not right but I am not sure what the original scheme was.
