I would expect silver to be correct.  Lot of engines got painted Chrysler blue or turquoise if worked on during the 60s or 70s.  My 48 Desoto Suburban has one of the rebuilt engines in it and really looks strange when I pop the hood.

I have a 331.1 cubic inch Poly V-8 in my 1956 Chrysler Windsor. I thought that the engine is supposed to be SILVER. Am I right or just plain wrong? The engine is painted blue at this moment!
