Short story---sort of

When I restored my 50 Chrysler wagon in the early 70s I assumed that it
would be good to oil the moving points on the hinges.  Hood stayed up fine
until I did that.  Hasn't since.  Luckily since its a woodie I just got
another piece of white ash and made a hood holder for it.   Still with the
car and wouldn't think of opening the hood without having it there!!

You guys weren't good to your hinges were you??

Actually was a long story since its been 30 years!!!
