Though I have also heard all the horror stories, I have not had any problem
with him when working through eBay. However, I've heard that he gets people to
bid on his items in order to raise the prices, so if you do bid on something he
has, do it as late as possible, and be reasonable with yourself regarding how
much you're willing to pay.
Also, on one occasion I was outbid and he sent me an
e-mail offering to sell another of the item to me at the high bid plus shipping.
I decided not to, and I think one is best to avoid purchasing in these
situations since one is without the protection of eBay.
