Re: [FWDLK] Chrysler vs Imperial

Ron,

The 1957 and 1958 Imperial 4-door hardtops used the convertible frame with
the "X" member. For 1959 they dropped the "X" member of the chassis for the
4-door hardtop.

1957-1959 Imperial frames are different from the 1957-1959 Chryslers,
although of the same design. The Imperials were on a 129" wheelbase while
the Chryslers were 126" wheelbase, except U.S.-built 1958 Windsors and all
1959 Windsors which were on a 122" wheelbase. The Imperial frame is thus
longer than the Chrysler frames.
