hi.
i've got a 55 plymouth belvedere 4 door sedan V8 259/260.  i was going through a parts catalog for some new lifters and surprisingly, it went back to 55.  however, under the engine listings for a 55, it only said 270.  i believe that the 270 came with the 56? correct?  i was wondering if the 259/260 engine and the 270 engines were the same? and the lifters for the 270 will work in the 259/260? i base this theory on the fact that, chevy for example, used the SAME small block for many different cars, and each year, they just remained the engine.  if you have any info about this, i would greatly appreciate it... thanks alot!!        Johnson
