Re: [FWDLK] why?

Leah,
Be Flattered  about having it on a roof.  Many people would see it.  I have seen a 57 Chevy on a roof in Oklahoma City at a body shop and near Bradford there was once a Model T on a roof.  The business was called the Model T Inn.  It has since been taken down and probably sold, but the place is still in business and the meaning of the place is just not the same since the T is gone.
BUT PLEASE keep your tires on the ground as it is more fun to ride around in than look at from the ground.
Just my 2 cents worth,
Jack in Shinglehouse, Pa---Your Pastor will be pleased to ride in it as my Pastor was when he rode in my 55 Plymouth I had.

I finally took the Belvedere to the radiator shop yesterday. This is the first public appearance of my car in about 10 years. While it was there, an acquaintance of ours who owns a body shop stopped by to visit our good friend who owns the radiator shop. Not knowing the Belvedere belonged to the Odom Family, he asked Kevin ( the radiator guy) if we would sell it. Kevin said no. Obviously, we would not be working so hard just to sell. Out of sick curiosity Kevin asks why he wants the car. The body shop owner replied that he wanted to put it on the roof of his shop. What kind of person takes a perfectly good, straight body, running vehicle and puts it on the roof? Last time I checked, tires were meant for running on pavement. I can't decide whether to be insulted, flattered, or laugh hysterically. I have come to the realization that life with the Plymouth will never be dull. I really love that car!!

I hope you enjoyed the story. I'm very close to driving on the road. We will be officially launching the Belvedere tomorrow night at 5 pm. I will be driving it to pick up our Pastor and his family. Then we are going out to dinner. I'm so excited, I'm beside myself.

Well enough excitement. I have to go finish upholstering the back seat or we'll have to leave it at home.

Have a blessed day and happy motoring.
