I've tried to have speedbumps INSTALLED on my street.   I live on a slight
incline, also near a curve, and people with seemingly no sense do about 80
down the street.  County says I have to petition the neighborhood to have
them installed, then EVERYBODY's taxes go up forever to pay for them.  I
asked how much it will cost to dig some idiot out of the ditch and then
lawsuits by their survivors.  If I had children, I'd be sitting out front
waiting for the speeders with a bullet.  There is no reason to go that fast
in a residential area.  Off the soapbox now.
